Robert Hamberger has been short-listed for and highly commended in the Forward Prize, short-listed for the Polari Prize, awarded a Hawthornden Fellowship and featured on the Guardian’s Poem of the Week webcolumn. He won first prize in Chroma’s International Queer Writing Competition 2006, and has appeared in British, American and Japanese anthologies. He has published six pamphlets and three previous collections, Warpaint Angel (1997), The Smug Bridegroom (2002) and Torso (Redback, 2007). His prose memoir with poems, A Length of Road, was published by John Murray in 2021.
