Simon Moorhead
Award winning producer Simon Moorhead produced the independent feature film Luna which received its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in 2014. The film went on to win Best British Feature at the Raindance Film Festival and the BIFA Raindance award in 2014. This award honours exceptional achievement for filmmakers working against the odds, often with little or no industry support.

Company received its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in 2005. The film and selected for the Locarno, Sitges, London, Edinburgh, Sarasota, Hawaii and Dublin film festivals, it won 9 awards (including the Inaugural Black Tulip at the Amster- dam Festival) and was finally released in cinemas in 2005.
Simon started his career sweeping the stage at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre before moving into television where he worked on a number of drama productions and children’s series for the BBC. He has been associated with many award-winning projects including A Different Drummer, Jigsaw, Threads, The Life and Loves of a She Devil, Widowmaker and the ITV series Chimera.
As a producer he has made films for the likes of the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, National Geographic as well as music videos for Virgin records and commercials for Saatchi & Saatchi, Kodak, Adobe and Eurotunnel. In addition, Simon has produced Whack, The Week Before, Dawn and N[eon], short films that played the festival circuits worldwide. N[eon] won First Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival.
Simon also produced the animated stage projections for Elton John’s Broadway production of Lestat, for Warner Bros and acted as CGI Producer on The Gospel of Us.
After Luna, Simon took the decision to move full time into producing audio drama.
In 2017, Simon produced, directed & created the sound design for The Boleyn Brothers, the story of the West Ham ‘Pals’ battalion during WW1, funded through private equity, which was released in time for Armistice Day in 2018.
During 2018 Simon commissioned, produced & created the sound design for over 17 hours of original audio drama for The Other 1% podcast channel.
