Tom Schulz was born in Großröhrsdorf in 1970 and grew up in East Berlin. He works as a writer and editor and teaches Creative Writing at the University of Cologne. His most recent volumes of poetry include Lichtveränderung (Change of Light, 2015), Die Verlegung der Stolpersteine (The Laying of the Stolpersteine, 2017), Reisewarnung für Länder Meere Eisberge (Travel Warning for Countries Seas Icebergs, 2019), and Die Erde hebt uns auf (The Earth Lifts us up, 2023). He lives in Italy and Berlin.
