Mykola Melenevskyi
Mykola Melenevskyi, career diplomat and professional interpreter, was born in Kyiv in 1954. He spent his childhood and early youth in Ukraine, where he also became a diploma holder of the Kyiv State University, the Faculty of International Relations and International Law. Upon graduation from the University in 1976, he left Ukraine and started his professional career in Bangladesh, providing translation services for USSR experts till 1979. Later, Mykola completed his postgraduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. After Ukraine gained independence in 1992, he entered the civil service in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine where he continued successfully his employment as a career diplomat till his retirement in 2014 from the position of Ambassador at Large. Mykola Melenevskyi has the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
